02.11.10 - Vice President, Sam Edens attended the 2010 DBA International in Las Vegas. With over 1400 on hand, the show proved successful by numbers alone. Sam was able to meet some of the top players in the debt buying industry and catch up with some of Emprise's current, and choice, clients. The discussions also extended to many of the exhibiting vendors inquiring about the services Emprise offers.

Marc Savage
President and CEO
Marc is the President and founder of Emprise and brings to the company the whole of his corporate background know-how. Having served as the Vice President of IS for CBT Services in Toledo, Ohio and Compass Receivables Management Corporation in Baltimore, Maryland, Marc offers Emprise clients the expertise of corporate relationships and sensibilities. From this background he offers a business perspective (dollars and cents, project planning). In addition, Marc serves as the project manager and lead developer on Emprise's largest projects. Marc's been the project manager for numerous implementations. Marc has a Masters Degree in Condensed Matter Physics from the University of Toledo.
Kim Edwards
Executive Vice President and Partner
Kim Edwards, Executive Vice President and Partner in Emprise, oversees the direction of company logistics. As well as planning for Emprises future development, Kim takes the lead in technical writing and quality control for all Emprise projects.
Sam Edens
Vice President
Sam is in charge of all consulting services at Emprise. In his role as Vice President, Sam manages the majority of projects and on-going client relationships. Through his work at the company, Sam has developed a deep knowledge of the receivables management industry. He began as a Programmer, but was quickly promoted to the role of Lead Developer, then to Manager, and is currently the Vice President.
Sam's role at Emprise has expanded into client relations, sales, marketing, and growing Emprise from the inside out. He currently manages all client relationships for Emprise's entire client base. As his industry knowledge increased, he also began helping to lead Emprise's sales and marketing campaign so that Emprise continues to grow and flourish as an industry leader. Sam is a graduate of Tiffin University with a degree in Management Information Systems.
Alli Bucy
Lead Developer
Alli came to Emprise with ten years of collection agency experience where she was over all day to day clerical, cash, month end, reports, interface programming, workflow, and systems administration. In her years at Emprise she has mostly worked on system administration, development, and quality assurance. Having graduated from Franklin University, which she attended on full scholarship, Alli's background extends beyond programming to business administration as well as marketing.
James Bucklew
James is the point person for data migration and ETL work. He has written a dozen migrations and hundreds of interfaces using numerous ETL tools. James combines deep knowledge of the receivables management industry with vast technical expertise. James is a graduate of the University of Toledo with a degree in Computer Science Engineering.
Pedro Carrizales
Developer
A bi-lingual developer, Pedro has worked well with Emprise call center clients in Mexico. He works closely with the R&D team on the most particular Emprise projects. His projects have ranged from SQL and Visual Basic development to Python and Perl development. Pedro has a great understanding of the collections industry and also a solid background in real estate acquisitions and sales.
Brandon Cook
Senior Developer
Having served as the Systems Administrator for one of the largest student loans collection agencies in the country, Brandon has worked with all aspects receivables management systems including interfaces, workflow, reports, action/result codes, letters, and dialer integration. In this role he became a security specialist. His years of experience led him through interface development to nearly every part of the customer financial area. At Emprise, Brandon has worked as the technical lead on several large conversions and implementation projects. He functions as the lead troubleshooter for any and all programming needs, and is also an extraordinary database programmer. Brandon is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Computer Science.
Cory Craig
Cory is a recent graduate of Rhodes State College with a degree in computer science. He has extensive knowledge and experience with database applications. A number of known programming languages allows him to easily adapt to the task at hand. Whether it is scripting in Python to application programming in .NET or even low level systems programming in C, he is able to easily adapt to the current task.
Mary Gregory
Mary has over fifteen years of industry knowledge and wide experience as a systems developer. She has worked on numerous client projects, taking the lead on several occasions. Some of her major projects while in development included the generation of the workflow concept for a legal system including legal action posting and judgment, and payment arrangements. Her work on several different teams has given her a broad background in every aspect of the receivables management systems. Mary is also a very skilled database developer. Mary holds degrees and certifications from both the University of Dayton and Ball State University.
Adam Kuns
A skilled developer, Adam has distinguished himself as the workhorse of the team. He has contributed more hours to his projects on a monthly basis than any other staff member. It is a particular accomplishment that given the volume of his work his quality has never suffered. Adam has a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from Bowling Green State University.
Chris Mazur
Implementation Services Manager
Chris is a highly motivated, technically sound leader with excellent people skills. His responsibilities include managing software implementations and data interface projects that Emprise obtains from our clients. Furthermore, Chris is the lead of our R & D Team, which is in the process of developing an in-house ETL application. Chris knows the ins and outs of the ETL world. His ability to creatively and efficiently solve problems makes him a unique asset to our team.
Over the past few years, Chris has played a vital role is most of the implementations, data conversions, and special projects that we have completed for our various clients. His involvement in these projects has included project management, requirements gathering, system configuration, data interface programming, report development, documentation, training, and support of the finished product. Chris has been the bridge between our development team and our clients for each ongoing project. Additionally, Chris has been able to step in and help out with the ETL development as needed. His ability to communicate with the client and perform at a high, technical level set Chris apart from other staff members. Chris has a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Bowling Green State University.
Mark McCarty
Mark is an Emprise veteran with years of experience in the industry. He has worked on several software platforms during his tenure at Emprise. Given his experience and knowledge, Mark now works closely with the R&D team. He is a true asset and is always willing to lend a helping hand to any of the Emprise team members.
Andrew McDaniel
Andrew's main focus has been on the creation and implementation of custom reports for clients, but he has worked on a variety of projects and has developed a large base of technical and industry knowledge. The reports have ranged from simple new business summaries to complicated transaction reports and everything in between. While writing reports Andrew has developed scripting to call the reports or to populate custom tables the reports will access. Unrelated to reports, Andrew has worked in Visual Basic, SQL, T-SQL, and Perl, including processors and interfacing to call custom reports, as well as created training materials which are used to train both Emprise employees and clients.
As a graduate of Oberlin College, Andrew studied a broad range of computer science subjects including Artificial Intelligence, Graphics, Algorithm design, Database structures, and cryptography.
Nick Stuart
Since his start at Emprise Nick has assumed responsibility for developing and testing nearly one hundred interfaces. Nick's attention to detail and quality client communication has earned him accolades from clients and colleagues alike. Nick has a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Bowling Green State University.
David Williams
Knowledgeable in a wide variety of technologies, David is an enthusiastic developer that was recently brought onto the Emprise team. His main focus has been on ETL work. David received a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from Bowling Green State University, where he studied a range of subjects including Language Design, Usability Engineering, and Web Application Development.
Jerry Anderson
Executive Assistant
Jerry has been with Emprise since 2004 when he came on board to greatly alleviate the burgeoning administrative work that a quickly growing company requires. He works closely with the entire Emprise team to make certain that operations at Emprise run smoothly across the board.
Although Jerry's educational background is in medical research, he has garnered an embarrassment of riches as an organizer and problem-solver in the workplace.
